    NOTE: House watch / vacation check cannot exceed 45 days without prior approval by a lieutenant, captain, or chief of police. Such approval must be obtained in person at the Jacksonville Police Department, 1412 West Main Street. The Jacksonville Police Department offers this house check to the citizens of Jacksonville as a public service. However, the Police Department cannot check the residence every hour. Homes will be checked when possible and as circumstances warrant. I understand that if any crime or the loss of property or property damage occurs during my absence from my residence, I will not hold the Jacksonville Police Department nor the City of Jacksonville responsible.
